Welcome to the official website of the Shamrock Club of Sacramento.

The Shamrock Club of Sacramento, was founded in 2005, as a nonprofit organization formed to preserve Irish culture and historical traditions, in the Sacramento Region. The club is a non-denominational, non-political social club, open to all those who wish to connect with their Irish Heritage or just want to learn more about the Irish culture.  We are on Facebook (ShamrockClubofSacramento), Twitter (ShamrockClub) and our website (www.Shamrocksac.com).

Our Irish-American cultural society hosts/co-hosts many annual events, including the St. Patrick’s Parade in March, the Half-Way to St. Patrick’s celebration in September, and a Christmas Celebration in December.  We partner with other Celtic clubs in the area for many other social activites.

The business of the Shamrock Club is conducted by an elected Board of Directors. Meetings of the Shamrock Club are held the second Wednesday of each month. at 7 PM. Membership and Board meetings are open to anyone interested in our club and our activities, whether they are Irish or not. (Details at News and Info or Celtic Calendar)

I wish to thank the founding members of the club for their vision in establishing this club and their continued participation and guidance as the club moves forward and continues to grow.

Thank you for your visit; please take the time to explore our web site and get to know us. If you do not find the information you are searching for our webmaster will be happy to direct your inquiry.

5 February 2021 - Update on the Annual St. Patricks Day Parade
Sadly, due to the pandemic the City of Sacramento will not be issuing any large gathering permits during the first quarter of 2021. Unfortunately this is when our St. Patrick's Day Parade falls. This worldwide, once in a hundred years health crisis has caused massive changes in all our lives through 2020 and now into 2021.
We hope you have been able to stay safe and cope with all its challenges. Now that vaccines are available, it is slowly improving.
It seems the soonest The Shamrock Club will safely be able hold meetings again will be the second or third quarter of this year.
Our primary focus has always been and will continue to be: the health and safety of our members plus following Local, State and Federal mandates/regulations to prevent spreading COVID.
Our hope is that enough vaccines will be distributed by the third quarter so we can hold our Halfway to St. Patricks Day ☘️ Annual Picnic in September.
Thanks to all who have paid their dues. The Club needs all your support, and as a special request I ask everyone to please send in your dues if you havent already done so. The Club website is at http://www.shamrocksac.com and there is a link to the member application and dues schedule. With hope for better times soon, Chris Brown.
